Course Description:

Designed for DoD/ LEO specialty applications such as undercover (narcotics, gangs, counterintelligence, street crimes unit, etc.,) patrol and special teams, dignitary protection details, corrections officers required to successfully manage single or multiple assailants in a high-threat close quarters environment, this program answers the questions: What can I do to defend against an assailant who is attacking me with an edged weapon and I CAN’T get to my firearm in time? What can I do in those precious tenths of a second when I’m reacting to a surprise attack, while trying to get to my gun? What if I’m taken off guard and with nothing in my hands – how can I defend myself and/ or my partner from a life-threatening edged weapon assault? What’s the very best way to make combat effective round placement in the least amount of time at bad-breath distance and under extreme duress? Delivered to tier one gun-carrying professionals and presented in standard DT training format, this is NOT a martial arts class and does NOT teach “knife fighting.”

Course includes:

Protection from exposure against the seven lethal target areas of your body, real-world scenarios (single/ multiple threats 360 approach), managing the fateful injury/ distance liability gap, armed and unarmed defense against an edged weapon attack at extreme close quarters, defense versus a machete, stalemate response, mastering force vectors, engaging multiple armed assailants and a rare training block on exotic edged weapons to include familiarization with capability of the “karambit” and other curved blades.

What to Bring:

Attendees must bring a duty or off-duty holster, a matching red/ blue gun (inert handgun replica which fits your holster), your issued/ folding or fixed EDC knife, comfortable attire which can support belt and holster (not sweatpants). Basic firearms safety, marksmanship and gun handling skills (recommended) no prior edged weapons training is necessary. Training knives will be provided for the class.
